March to the Manger Offering
Our Annual March to the Manger Global Missions Offering will be taken during our Sunday morning services December 2nd. This offering goes to support various missions and missionaries throughout the year and wouldn’t be possible without your financial support. Please begin praying how the Lord would have you play a part in contributing to this incredible ministry.
Have you been wondering how to become a member of First Baptist Church or have other questions that we might be able to answer? If so, please join us Sunday, December 2nd, for our next Discover First class which is designed to help folks understand who we are, what is important to us, and how someone can become a member. We’ll be meeting in the Fellowship Hall directly after the 10:30 AM Worship Hour for a luncheon and discussion time. Childcare will be provided for birth through kindergarten by prior reservation. You can RSVP by signing up at the Ministry Center in the Commons, texting “First” to 88000 and filling out the requested information, or by visiting the church website at www.fbccabot.org.
Special Needs Ministry
Our Special Needs Ministry is growing and we need your help! We need people willing to assist our faithful teachers in the special needs class and/or be a buddy to a child during LifeGroup/Genesis Lab time. Student Ministry Winter Retreat
Don’t let your student (7th-12th grades) miss out on our Winter Retreat December 27-29. We are headed to Xtreme Winter conference in Branson, Missouri. Cost is $110. Stop by the Commons Cup to register or check out www.realstudentministry.org for registration form and more information. Deadline to register is November 27.
Family Christmas Celebration
We are hosting a Family Christmas Celebration for our Team Rockets, Team Flash & Xplode students and their families on Wednesday, November 28, from 6:00-7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. There will be music, games, snacks, crafts, a unique telling of the Christmas story and a Christmas Photo Booth for you and your family to take pictures. We hope that you and your family will make plans to attend this wonderful Christmas Family Event. Our 5th & 6th graders will have their Christmas party at 6:00 pm.
Spain Mission Trip Summer 2019 - There will be a gathering for anyone interested in learning more about the Spain mission trip in 2019 ….. Sunday December 2nd at 6pm in rm#103/105. At this gathering you’ll learn all the detail about the trip. Everyone is invited….Come check it out! Questions, contact Greg or Sara Hooper, the Spain mission team leaders.
VERY IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION INFORMATION: As the end of the year approaches, please make note that any contributions you wish to have applied to 2018 must be received in the offering on Sunday, December 30 or the church office by noon Monday, December 31. VERY, VERY IMPORTANT – if you will be using our online electronic giving, SecureGive, for your end of year contribution, you will need to allow 3-5 days for the transaction to process in order to be received by the church by December 31 and apply to 2018. Toy Drive - Each year we have the joy of helping many needy families have a merrier Christmas by providing toys for their children through Cabot Christmas Alliance and Christmas for Kids. FBC sponsors around 75 children by asking you to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Commons through December 9th.
Cabot Christmas Alliance Volunteers - Volunteers needed for Cabot Christmas Alliance: the Cabot Christmas Alliance Facebook page, listed under events: you can sign up to help volunteer to assist with packing day, Saturday, December 15th or distribution day, Saturday, December 22nd at the Cabot Armory.
Sr. Adults will be going to see the Trumpeter Swans on January 15. If you are interested in joining us, please visit the signup table located outside the Fellowship Hall.
FREE BOOKS - There is a free book table located just inside the Library door. Please help yourself to some inspirational reading.

Daytime Grow meets this Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Room 110. This letter writing ministry helps First Baptist Church reach many new residents in Cabot, Ward & Austin. Come join us!
